Blackboard sites that are used for for-credit classes are archived and stored for seven years.  These archive files contain Blackboard content, student work, and grades. Although Blackboard content and student data are archived after each semester, instructors should not rely solely on this process to fulfill their seven-year academic record retention policy.

An instructor who needs access to content from a Blackboard site after December 2017 can request that the content be imported into a new Canvas site. Note that this will import only content—not student data. These requests can be submitted from the REQUEST COURSE SITES section of the web site.

An instructor who needs access to student data from a Blackboard course (e.g., to resolve a grade dispute) must contact ET@MO.
